Me: What was the creative process like while making this new record? How'd you get inspired?
Sam: Was working with my producer in London and came up with the chorus hook idea. We then developed this into a complete melody and the words soon followed afterwards. I listen to a lot of music and love creating new melodies and memorable lyrics.
Sounds like it was a fun creative process! By chance, did you draw inspiration from any specific genres or artists for this song?
I think the song has my own unique sound, however, I do feel I have inspirations for the song such as Elton John and Coldplay vibes.
For new readers that are discovering you today, how would you describe your current style of music & its evolution?
So I started out as a pianist and songwriter however I have now evolved into a pop artist. I still use the piano to base most of my songs on, however, we have started to add new sounds and fresh ideas to take the tracks to the next level.
Where does your stage name originate from? Have you ever changed your name?
My stage name is just my actual name - as it’s quite unique itself. I thought it was best to use that.
Any upcoming releases or future plans for your career after “World to Me” that you're comfortable sharing?
So I have my latest release "World To Me' which is out on the 27th of January 2025. following this I will have new music out around April time then am looking at booking some shows to follow this in the summertime.
Finally, what message or feeling do you hope listeners take away from this song?
I want people to listen to the song and feel a connection with it lyrically and emotionally. I also want them to enjoy listening and make them feel inspired.
