Meet twogeebs

Me: How did you initially start getting into music & the industry?

twogeebs: The need to express myself cause if I didn’t I would die. This is all I know

With that in mind, what was it like making the first song of your?

It was like my senior year of high school and it was over the “Damn It Feels Good To Be a Gangsta” beat cause I had saw Wiz do a freestyle over it. I thought it was good at this time, but compared to my shit now HELL NO.

Haha awesome! And where does your stage name originate from?

A “geeb” is a nickname for gravity bong and in high school we had a saying like, “two geebs and you’re good to get the day started,” so I made it one word and just made it my name.

Who are some of your favorite artists & producers to work with?

Producers: Skip The Kid (one of my go-to producers), Jazzy Lion Man, Furious Stylez, Happy Art, Mighty Joe Young, Wideyed, Davila, FALAK & NASR (my producer out in Saudi Arabia)

I HAVE ONE ENGINEER: Davila he mixes EVERYTHING. However, I have a backup engineer who is also amazing. David at DLM Studios

Favorite artists to work with: JohnnyTra$h, Davila, Dizziablo, Keyze AriZona, Kobe Numba24, Jules Clay, Severe, DonJonSixO, Donte, Earn Dinero, Backwood Brad, Tomorrow People, Jay L, Lil Derik & Gustavo

Who are some artists you would like to work with around your area in the future?

I’m in the NJ/NY area so it’d be some of the other super talented underground artist out here, Redman and Fetty lol. Knowitall Patty, Honcho Redman, Fetty Wap, Daringer, Alchemist Pootie, SpongeBob SquarePants, Heartbreak Julio, and Eric The Red

Do your friends and/or family support your music journey?

Yeah they do. They shape it by just existing in my life cuz most of my music is just a reflection of my life put into musical form

That’s great! What are some other talents & hobbies outside of music?

I cook a lot, but it’s really just music with me.

How would you describe your music in ONE word to someone that's never listened before?

GRIMY

Interesting! Can you elaborate more about your “GRIMY” style/sound?

twogeebs incorporates a variety of musical influences into his tracks, blending elements from different genres such as hip-hop, doo-wop, and Motown. My lyrics frequently explore themes of authenticity in the music industry, personal struggles, artistic growth, and social commentary. Often uses pop culture references to enhance his storytelling and connect with listeners who share similar interests.

What does a world without music look like in your imagination?

I wouldn’t know cuz I won’t be in it

I love that answer yo! And is there any advice you would give to someone who is thinking about getting into music?

Just go for it and be okay with criticism

Any last words or future plans for your career? Additionally, who is an artist/producer you dream of collaborating with?

Tha Geeb Tape 5 on October 31, 2025. The final one of the series. Future plans is to keep dropping heat, I wanna shoot a short film over the next year just so I have a reason to drop a movie soundtrack. Like how back in the 90s/00s movie soundtracks were like just as lit as some albums. Dream collab? 🤔 Snoh Aalegra or Jorja Smith on a hook for a song.
