Trady Tells The Story Behind His Fresh New Track “Drake And Drive”

Intro:

Trady is an artist hailing from Billingham, England who just delivered his brand new song “Drake And Drive. His versatility has attracted many eyes & ears over time while on his journey. Trady has even done work with the infamous rapper Bizarre from D12. This new track “Drake And Drive” also comes with a cool music video as well that we’ve linked under this paragraph. Before reading our brief conversation, make sure you listen to Trady today below.

Me: What was the creative process while making “Drake & Drive”?

Trady: It was really random to be honest, I had the hook in my head for days! “I don’t Drake and Drive, I Shady and Vibe” and I wanted a hard drill beat making, but then it ended up being a melodic drill. And by the way, it was made in 2 hours, which is crazy to think. All down to Lunko just being a Genius!

Writing the track felt natural because I tried using engineering units and terminology for the bars and lines for the track. I’m an instrument tech by trade and work as a pharmaceutical service engineer now. I like adding bits of my life to my craft that I’m proud of!

Did you draw inspiration from any specific genres or artists?

Not particularly for this track. Shady and Vibe is referring to Eminem, but as a whole, it was something that came solely from me; which I’m also quite proud of because most of the music I create is inspired by someone or something.

And, how would you describe your overall current style of music? Has it evolved over time?

It’s definitely evolved, when I first started releasing tracks I had one type of style and sound, but I guess as time as gone on I’ve got a bit more softer with some aspects, I’d still say I'm finding that peak sound as I move through genres

What themes or messages do you hope listeners take away from “Drake & Drive” following its release?

I’m not quite sure how to answer this question. I guess I’d say to not take life too seriously and enjoy it, dance away to what you like, and have fun as every day comes. I’d say that’s my own personal message that I’m trying to say in the hook and don’t listen to anyone who has a negative impact on you or anybody around. Be you and do what you please

And, what was the most challenging part of the recording process for this one?

The music video was intense. It was definitely fun but also very hard to get perfect, in my opinion anyway. It was a long day and quite tiring, but all the same, it was worth it. Caviar pulled it out of bag and smashed it!

By the way, where does your stage name originate from? Has it ever changed in the past?

Trady comes from my first stage name ‘D-Trademark’. I shortened it down and with myself being in a trade for a full-time job then mixed them together as D-Trademark was far too long!

Nice! Do you have any upcoming releases or plans that you're comfortable sharing with the readers?

I’ve got many many tracks ready to release, one of them goes back to my second album which is pop punk which is exciting for me!

And finally, in your own words, why should a new listener check out this song today?

A new listener should check me out because you never know what type of track I’m releasing, I release music for everybody to listen to, it’s not always the same genre and lyrics, it’s fresh and creative, I like to think of my music releases being like Doctor Who, each one is different in their own unique way but come from the same mind.
