Meet: Sanga Toto

Me: Greetings! First off, what first got you into making music early on?

Sanga: Singing. It's sharing what I feel and who I am to my friends, and it's an instrument for communication.

How would you describe your style musically? Has your sound changed & evolved since you started?

Each song and collaboration is always a new feeling. Yes, it's about evolution with myself, the team, and the inspiration of the moment. I love groovy, pure, deep, emotional, and magic sounds.

Nice! Where does your stage name for music originate from?

The name is from my father’s name when he was a professional dancer in Cameroon.

Outside of your own music, who are some of your favorite artists?

Teddy Riley, Quincy Jones, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Michael Jackson, Tevin Campbell, Glenn Lewis, Mint Condition

That’s a solid group of talent! What was the first song you've ever made? How does it compare to the music you make now?

My first song "Hello" helped me with building my voice and creating a special connection with my hearing. I can't compare. For me, all is unique and precious.

In your own imagination, what does the perfect studio session look like to you?

Joy, fun, improvisation and LOVE. Share the passion to be an artist and respect the process of recieving inspiration in our creations.

Do you have any other hobbies or talents that many don’t know about?

My passion is to teach singing and help singers create new songs. I love to share some guidance meditation too.

What's been the most difficult aspect of your music career so far?

To have a good team around me. People who take care of you and your vision.

Yes! Every artist needs a team that’s supportive & efficient. Is there any advice you would give to someone else considering getting into music?

Yes! Make music with love and passion to share who you are. Be authentic. Be yourself. You are a unique voice/spirit/soul

Thank you for sharing! And last, do you have any upcoming plans you're comfortable sharing with the readers?

Yes, with my team, we decide to release the next songs in October ( two singles).

Very excited to hear that! Any final words?

I believe in music that can change the world
