Meet Luke Noraa
Me: What first got you into making music?
Luke: I’ve always been surrounded by music and other forms of art. My mom is a ballet dancer and performer, my brother is an artist and rapper and my father was a singer. Other members of my family are involved in the arts as well and that influenced me. I’ve played different instruments growing up like that drums and saxophone. I later got into singing as I got older
Do you remember the first song or piece of music you've ever made?
I started off making beats in high school and gave them random names like “chicken feet” and “deodorant dog” or something. If I remember correctly Chicken Feet slapped.
How would you describe your style musically? Has your sound changed & evolved since you started?
Eh I feel it really varies. I try to be soulful and make music that just creates a whole feel instead of just a typical pop track. I think the experiences I went through in my journey and the artists I listened to really helped me develop my sound over the years.
Interesting! And where does your stage name originate from?
Luke is my middle name and Noraa is Aaron (my first name) backwards lol
Who are some of your favorite artists & producers that you’d like to work with?
So much… Smino, Monte Booker, Childish Gambino, Kendrick Lamar, Ravyn Lenae, Steve Lacy, Jordan Ward, Wizkid, Rema, Masego, FKJ, and too much more to list lol
Who are some artists you would like to work with around your area?
Ngl I really wanna drop more bangers with Oryah man. We made one song and it’s one of my top songs in my opinion. Called “Care4u” <check it out>
Do your friends and family support your music journey? If so, how do they influence & shape your career?
They’ve been nothing but supportive and that is enough to keep me going.
That’s amazing to hear! What are some other talents & hobbies outside of music that some may not know about you?
I play sports and video games lol
What does a world without music look like in your imagination?
There is no world without music
Is there any advice you would give to someone who’s thinking about getting into music?
Make what you love… I tried to tweak my songs for others too much and it changed the emotion I was trying to portray.
Any future plans for your career? Additionally, who is an artist/producer you dream of collaborating with?
I just wanna keep dropping and get more listeners. I’m open to working with anyone really. But a Smino collab would be the best.
Also, how would you describe your music in ONE word to someone that's never listened before?
Kool :D
