Meet KSAV
Me: So how did this all get started for you?
KSAV: Making beats trynna be like Oryah and Dulanzo. My father used to make music as well. The first rapper I liked was lil wayne, and the first non-rap music I ever liked came from Green Day.
How would you describe your style musically? Has your sound changed & evolved since you started?
Alternative. I think only 2 things really changed since I started.
1. I don't make my own beats anymore.
2. I just got better at mixing and mastering. I still enjoy all my early music
I’ve always known you to be more mysterious in your career so far. Have your friends and family supported your music at all along the way?
My friends support my music, but don't really influence or shape my music. My family doesn't know I make music.
That’s so fascinating! Who are some of your favorite artists/producers/engineers/etc. to work with?
terpucrazy, 22nate, SRRY BEATS, JEWEL, P.A, Undlay, JETKAPONE, Tofito Beats
Who are some artists you would like to work with around your area?
I’ve worked with everyone I want to already. If you count the whole state though I gotta say Lil Uzi Vert
Where does your stage name originate from? Have you ever changed your name?
I was actually thinking about this the other day. I don't know where KSAV came from. It used to be trashksav though in a way it still is trashksav. Actually not that I don't know, but rather I can't remember.
Do you remember the first song you've ever made? If so, what was it like & how does it compare to your latest/best releases?
My first song was called "Glock Thot". I still love it just as much as anything I made recently. It's corny in all out ways but I was like 14-16.
Great Insight! And how would you describe your music in ONE word to someone that's never listened before?
Peak
What are some other talents & hobbies outside of music that some may not know about you?
I write code for a living, and would give anyone 50 on straight mid-range jumpers.
What does a world without music look like in your imagination?
Make what you love… I tried to tweak my songs for others too much and it changed the emotion I was trying to portray.
Is there any advice you would give to someone who’s thinking about getting into music?
Do it cause you want to; not for what it can do for you. Getting a full-time job first would help too. Or sell drugs if you don't want a full-time job.
Any future plans for your career? Additionally, who is an artist/producer you dream of collaborating with?
Just to keep doing what I'm doing. It's still fun. I'm pretty drawn to design/videography though. I want to produce/design/write/ and shoot videos for other rappers. My dream collabs would be Lucki, Suki Waterhouse, Starboy, Working on dying, HYUKOH, Cigarettes after sex, Opium (Including the loml SEXISDEATH)
