Now we have a variety of new versions of their song “Love Is War” for listeners to discover & enjoy! Before reading our brief conversation, make sure you check out this new Attack The Sound release down below.

Me: What was the creative process while making the song years ago?

The band: Love is War, released in 2020, was a stage-setting single for us. At the height of protection and reflection, it became an anthem for those caught in the crosshairs of responsibility and passion.

Did you draw inspiration from any specific genres or artists for “Love Is War”?

There weren't any specific genres or artists that I drew from for this single. I just wanted to write from the heart.

And how would you describe the band’s current style of music in your own words?

Music style has evolved over time and currently, we are an indie pop/RnB band. We call our style Chi-pop though.

What themes or messages do you hope listeners take away from “Love Is War” following the re-release?

I have taken much thought with this type of question and honestly, the song is an open slat of reflection for the listener and I don't want to push a specific message. I will let the listener decide the message.

Wow, I actually like that perspective a lot! And what was the most challenging part of creating back in 2020?

The most challenging part of creating this release we getting the feeling just right. The vamp section came to me after years of performing the sing live. That section truly helped this single stand out.

How did you come up with your band name? Has it ever changed in the past?

Our stage name is Attack the Sound. It has changed a few times lol. We were called Technical Difficulties for a while.

Additionally, do you guys have any upcoming releases or future plans that you're comfortable sharing with the readers?

On this EP we have 6 versions of Love is War, but in April we will release Wake Up Call which is technically a sequel to our single FADIYA.

Nice! And finally, what message or feeling do you hope listeners take away from this song?

I want the listeners to feel reflection and question the time we live in.
