Toledo-based artist Chavar Dontae is a creative who knows how to set the vibe & proves it on his new track “All White M1.” The song shines with a style reminiscent of artists like Kid Cudi earlier in his career. We hear Chavar effectively painting imagery of settings, memories, and emotions in a straightforward manner. The themes center around the artist’s enjoyment of success during a cruise in his all white vehicle while reflecting on past struggles and dismissing doubters. His laidback delivery complements the vibey instrumental & catchy chorus melody. The production stands out featuring trippy synths, a punchy side-chained kick among the other percussion, and a bass that adds character without overpowering. A minor critique is the flow, which can feel repetitive in the second verse due to a lack of variation in the rhyme pattern. Despite this, I think Chavar made a great track perfect for the upcoming Summer season!
