Illinois singer/songwriter Ceydees unveils her new track “Slow Down” which we’ve reviewed for today’s feature article. The song has a brilliant flow, with a melody that suits the style and is easy to sing. Her lyrics are pretty straightforward yet well-crafted with strong rhymes and patterns. Passionate themes of love and lust shine through, enhanced by her soft vocals and well-balanced mixing. The production is spacey and atmospheric, with groovy drums that leave plenty of room for the vocals. My only critiques are that the songwriting could be stronger (particularly in the second verse) and the vocal delivery sometimes lacks confidence. Overall despite those minor critiques, it’s a well-produced and engaging track with room for growth.
